New poem from Luciole friend/contributor Scott Wannberg: "ill wind seeks current upgrade 2 step"
ill wind seeks current upgrade 2 step
impressive depressed valedictorian
seeks eloquent hallucination
and the cheerleaders of sullen
are mulling over the muffin choices
while the coffee pours all your troubles away
on an ill wind
seeking a current upgrade.
decipher the loud asinine lingo
falling from the sky
and explain to the insatiable car wash
that you came on both legs.
broken edens
fumble their best moments
yet rebound resoundingly
when you become song.
tired resuscitation
attempts magic affirmation
despite the singular lack
of empathetic
levitation.
ring masters take heed
the big top blew its stack
and the debris will be calling the shots
in space
for some time
hence.
ill wind blows a feisty alto sax
baby
and the dardanelles just won't jell
when the cyclops
can't seem to see
all alone.
told the troubles
they could take an extra week's vacation.
all the synergetic frenetics
cordially careen copacetic when asked to hover a straight line.
the lady of the house of cards
will seat you soon
as soon as the renegade moon lays
some cheese at your best mouse's door.
went whimsical
up a dark road
heard they had a good time at its end
when the earth rolled out of the rack
and told the hoedown
to leave a vacant chair
at its
ongoing table.
vulnerable cities
grow fast
when your heart
comes to play.
in the joy stick's closest relatives
we find familiar faces
and the stories in their skin.
ill wind seeks bona fide healing,
you can turn your reflection upright,
the pain just deposited a check in its account
and all ensuing ramifications
will now be covered.
tell the times to behave,
let the volcano have its say,
heard tell jazz was coming back
any second.
tell the carrion
they can be gourmet
if they weave the fabric's magic wand
thus.
met a solemn door
it claimed it could go either way.
pressed my mind
against the vocabulary,
saw stars
and then some.
rock me tender
make me a mandolin
there's an earth pending
hope the judge has had his coffee
