New poem from Luciole friend/contributor Scott Wannberg: "a new day just might be coming"
a new day just might be coming
come one come all come as you sometime feel you are
come lucid come stoned come insane come determined
come speaking in tongues come screaming in silence
a new day just might be coming
(maestro, if you please...)
saw a lost man plant a flag in the back of a stray
he felt it was the real deal
the real deal folded
got up from the table and turned into dust
dust is dressing up for the soiree
the soiree is looking for its passport
never know when the time for escape might offer itself
come sloppy come profound
come drunk come scary cold sober
a new way of being seen is due any minute
hope you sent in the bona fide requested proper paperwork
hope you greased the right palms
come electric come frozen
come adept come sun stroked
a new way of disappearing is in the works
tell all concerned parties you never heard of your name
the line forms to your something or other
might as well call it right
the judges for today seem half assed cogent
cogent is a sea port in a tiny european country
the fish there can't tread water
come stubborn come lazy
come in pairs
bring your head
make room for your heart
a new vocabulary is trying to find the right words
the load keeps piling on
doesn't a referee ever show up for work?
somebody, who seems likable
just handed me a code
i can't begin to tell you what it might reveal
about the esoteric strange lack of a game plan called humanity
somebody told my lungs
it appreciated my intake
come prepared come comatose
come as if you mean it
a new hope is angrily being born
it doesn't want to leave its womb
but simon says get to it
does anybody around this immaculate dump know simon's last name
he left his spirit in the men's room
and there's just not so much left to say
maybe the chaos will only stay for a little bit
maybe soon it'll acquire a trade
