Poem: "Rambling rivers...for S.A.Griffin,Lorraine,Spencer" by Scott Wannberg

Rambling rivers... for S.A.Griffin, Lorraine, Spencer...

twirl your partner around, spin your heart up and down, twirl your
soul out loud
the band, they just beginning to ride...
hours inside hours to flowingly hopefully go...
whoa, which way be up, which way go down,
all of it is this song, rambling in its imagery
but knows where its source hangs
rambling rivers out there on the run beneath the ongoing agreed sun
naming new places to dream
the houses there can even see
the houses of vulnerable instruments
so sweet and alive in the hands of this ongoing rap
twirl your partner inside out, spin your days and nights up and
down,twirl your everything out loud...
cool evening drinking a slow martini(gin)
in the corner
come on, they got the juke working real fine again
put some coins in baby
and let's make the scene
go on rambling river, sing your source
let it name you in the not-so-sure future weather coming down eventual
we got born barefoot
we gonna go that way too
snap your fingers
feel the earth accomodate your soles just a little more
nobody's going too far real quick
everyone wants to sing
rambling rivers they got no parole hearings left to attend
they are on the floor
sweating, smiling, swinging
the juke it has us working
real real fine
all over
again
