It is the perfect winter image that usually appears only on Christmas cards or in our imagination. But this is the real thing. Perched on a snow-covered twig yesterday, a robin proudly puffs out his chest in the back garden of award-winning nature photographer Andy Rouse. Mr Rouse travels thousands of miles every year photographing animals, but was able to capture this image without leaving his house in Caerphilly, South Wales. 'I saw this one perched in a tree,' he said. 'He had been eating off my bird feeder.'
