Rose of Sharon Press began during the diy (do-it-yourself) days in 1988 at a copy joint somewhere in Hollywood. The first publication was a chapbook for Doug Knott, Sharktalk. 20 years and many adventures in the print trade later and we're still here, small but mighty and proud of it.

The entire operation is
Los Angeles poet S.A. Griffin
. Of course, The Rose does get a little help from our friends, but generally speaking, it is S.A. There was a two-year period during which he partnered with friend and poet David Smith. During that time they produced Interchageable Goddesses by Pris Campbell and Tammy F. Trendle, Dreams That Would Drown Most Men by John Dorsey and Amanda Oaks and Genocide Sutra by David Smith.

There are many other titles including Teaching The Dead To Sing by John Dorsey, Harvey Keitel, Harvey Kietel, Harvey Keitel by John Dorsey, S.A. Griffin and Scott Wannberg, Juice, The Musical! by Scott Wannberg and Alien Landing Pad by Iris Berry, Pleasant Gehman and S.A. Griffin.
The latest offering from The Rose is Call by francEyE.
