From the rolling enigmatic mountains to the deepest alluring woods soars a new and tempting stream of tones. Martíne Lund Hoel is a composer and an artist with great virtuosity on her many instruments. Her unique combination of different styles, tempo and traditions has become her trademark, where she has created a complete and distinguished sound. Martíne delivers highly appreciated pieces to both pictures and theaters. She has been performing her own compositions, both nationally and internationally, for more than ten years. She has over 200 tunes registered at TONO. Martínes main instrument is the Norwegian hardangerfiddel which she treats with virtuos care. However, the keyed harp, vocal, viola and different kinds of flutes are also the source of several melodies. These instruments contribute and add to the character of her songs, as her talent expresses itself in various ways. With the old Norwegian folk instrument, the hardangerfiddle, Martíne brings the old cultural heritage closer to our many and varied music scenes. Her aim as a composer and musician is to create music that makes her listeners feel more alive. Sometimes she writes to give her compositions a certain kind of quality and find great challenge to cultivate a sound, meanwhile, the majority of her music is created without program or boundaries, where the compositions comes to life through her energy and motivation to make sound, express herself and play, inspiration is life itself. She loves mixing different musical genres and experimenting with dissimilar rhythm and tonality effects. Her compositions can best be described as a fusion of Nordic, Balkan, Celtic and Baroque music
