FROM STACY OF CAMPAIGN FOR CARE:

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day was a great success, over 200 volunteers! I'm exhausted, but bathing in the afterglow of Mission Accomplished: 318 hand-tied blankets, 180 rain ponchos, 206 hygiene bags, 392 pairs of socks, 195 blank stamped envelopes with stationary, & 105 hand-knit hats. It was a remarkable, powerful, peaceful walk (march) through the streets of Skid Row in Los Angeles with volunteers (age 3-85) sharing caring and kindness within the homeless community. I am one lucky girl to have witnessed such an outpouring of love for those in need from people of all ages, races, religions (& lack thereof), backgrounds, and beliefs. The next day was a New Day...I am so full of hope and optimism! What a historic time, I do feel "Free At Last."
