A handout photo from the European Space Agency released December 10, 2008 shows an artist's impression of the Jupiter-size extrasolar planet, HD 189733b, being eclipsed by its parent star. Astronomers using the Hubble Space Telescope have measured carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide in the planet's atmosphere.
An artist's concept released on November 13, 2008 of the Jupiter-type planet that the Hubble Space Telescope observed. The US space agency has set a tentative date of May 12 for the liftoff of the Atlantis space shuttle, on a long-delayed service mission to the Hubble, NASA announced.
