A monumental Native American Indian Film is casting individuals who's ancestors are Native American Indian. Based on a TRUE STORY this SAG feature film needs to be as AUTHENTIC and ACCURATE as possible which includes casting. For those that are familiar with Cherokee history, the story is set around Little Carpenter, Old Tassel, Oconostota, Dragging Canoe, Isaac Thomas and Nancy Ward. Though there will be many speaking parts and extras, we are on a manhunt for our main character. We have searched talent databases over the past year and have NOT yet FOUND our LEADING MAN. All speaking roles are paid based on SAG scale. I am now going outside the box to find what Production needs. Listed below is what the MAIN CHARACTER ROLE REQUIRES: Screenplay revolves around this character-previous acting preferred, yet willing to consider non actor if talented Ethnicity: Native American Indian Cherokee preferred Gender: Male Age: Early 20's Height: 6'3"- 6'5" Look: Attractive to very attractive Physique: Big, bulky, muscular, built like "The Rock" (WWF Wrestler) This film covers decades in time and is compared to Native American Indian version of the monumental African American Film, "Roots" A period piece takes place in Tennessee and North Carolina from mid to late 1700's, the beginning of the Cherokee removal. This screenplay is based on an 8 1/2 year study. The film is Part 1 of a Trilogy that will end with Part 3 in 1842. The producers are making every effort to stay true to the actual historical events, and are consulting with members of the represented Tribal Governments. This feature film will be shot in North Carolina and Louisiana. Some lead roles have already have been cast-Director is WELL KNOWN released at alter date.
