Please pass this on to any and all who can help.

Thank you!

I spoke to Shelly about a half hour ago to inquire as what family is there with Dan.  Right now it is only Shelly and Danielle (who both have autos), but Shelly only has a hotel room for tonight and tomorrow night.

I contacted a hotel that is willing to give an amazing rate for 12 days for three rooms with double beds and I  I have put together a spreadsheet to figure out the costs associated with getting Dan's father, John to Bend from Spokane, WA; his two brothers Tom and John Nanamkin from Yakima, WA to Bend and his sister  Rochelle some gas money to get to Bend from Warm Springs.

This is fund raising request I am putting out there to everyone who can help financially to get Dan's family travel costs, food, gas and lodging covered for all of them for at least 12 days.  It is in times like these that Dan needs his family around him and his family needs to knot worry about such things so they can focus all their energy on him.

Dan will be going through a several surgeries in the next several days and I think it is very important that we do everything we can to get his family there so they can be there for him and be with each other.

Please, if you can help, in any way to get Dan's family to him and together, please contact me immediately.  I can be reached at 818.302.6122 or via email at: michelleshiningelk@gmail.com.

Time is of the essence...I would like to try and get his family to him tomorrow via air.  Following is the latest post from Shelly re: Dan.

Thank you in advance for your support, care and concern.

Respectfully,
Michelle Shining Elk

Early monday morning Dan was in a very bad car accident on the Warm Springs Reservation, he was traveling at high speed rate and hit 4 horses, 2 were killed on impact. His car flipped over and the roof was ripped off. Dan was life flighted to Bend at the hospital and was in critical condition but has since went to critical-stable. Dan has many injuries and we ask for continual prayer for him as he is still not out of the woods yet. His injuries this far: broken neck, broken shoulder, shattered disc bones in his back, fractured eye bone which will require plastic surgary, deep facial lacerations, broken rib and has inquired pnemonia, has a concussion and this is all going to be a slow, slow healing process for him as I was told by the doctor. Tommorow afternoon he will be going in for surgary and I ask for positive thoughts and prayers on his side.
